1. Kansas City Chiefs

Who else but Patrick Mahomes was going to lead this list. There’s nobody really setting themselves ahead of the pack, so you’re always going to go with the best quarterback. There’s nobody even close to Mahomes right now. Think about it. Who is the second best QB in the league? Deshaun Watson? Russell Wilson? They are great QBs, but their teams are playoff teams, but not perennial contenders like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady used to be every year. Mahomes is very much a huge reason the Chiefs are a top contender every season from here on out.

It’s not even just Mahomes. They have Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce catching passes. Frank Clark and Chris Jones are rushing the passer, while Bashaud Breeland and Tyrann Mathieu man the secondary. There are literally stars at almost every position.

Next season, Mahomes is going to make just over $5 million. They need to try to take advantage of his extremely low salary while they can. The Chiefs are the best team in the league, especially when it matters. Even last year, when they lost in the AFC Championship, they did it without touching the ball in overtime. They could have easily been the champion last year, and now they are the favorite for next year.
