DraftKings EuroLeague basketball picks March 5

DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:
Nick Calathes had his best game of the season in the first game against CSKA with a staggering 59.5 DraftKings points. While that’s a nightly occurrence in the NBA, it’s a rarity on the other side of the pond. That makes Calathes a priority. Not many in the EuroLeague are even capable of a line like that. He’s not going to do it again, but Calathes should break 40, which makes him more than worth the price.
It’s not like Mike James was bad in that game either. Even though Calathes went nuts on him, James still picked up 44.75 DraftKings points. I’m going to run both of them at least once. That’s half the salary so we need to find value somewhere, but it’s hard to fade either of them today.
Luckily there are no tough decisions at the top. These small slates lack middle tier value. Campazzo and Sergio Rodriguez were busts on Tuesday. I don’t want to play roulette with Jimmer and I don’t trust Quino Colom on the chance that SVR plays. Tyrese Rice is tempting, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to use him.
I really like Darrun Hilliard in the value tier if Hackett sits. Hilliard started over Hackett on Tuesday anyway, but if Hackett is out, Hilliard should see around 30 minutes. That’s great potential for the price.
The best value on the entire slate could be Nicolas Laprovittola. He has at least 20 DraftKings points in three straight. He’s not going to start, but he has a large role off the bench with Llull out. New starter Riccardo Moraschini is tempting for Milan as well with Nedovic still on an unposted minutes limit.
