With no real sports to watch at the moment, MLB The Show is bringing fans something to cheer about, and Fernando Tatis Jr. has been the main attraction.

San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis is one of the youngest, most electric players in the game right now. And not surprisingly, Tatis has provided the new MLB The Show Players Tournament some of that electricity, despite no real games being played right now.

Do-Hyoung Park, a Twins beat writer for MLB.com, highlighted the Padres shortstops top plays from the first weekend of the Players Tournament. Tatis managed to hit a few home runs with his teammate Manny Machado, both resulted in hilarious celebrations from the 21-year-old Padre.

He also went deep with himself at least once.

Tatis and his aggressive approach on the basepaths have paid off for him early on in his MLB career, but in The Show, Tatis has been a bit reckless. He attempting to steal a base with first baseman Eric Hosmer – who might be slower in a video game than he is in real life.

But the best part of Tatis’ week of games was his rally against Jeff McNeil that included a grand-slam to win it all that resulted in Tatis falling out of chair twice in celebration of the walk-off dinger.

Tatis will have the week off from The Show and we will sorely miss his hilarious reactions and impressive skills on the sticks, but there are still plenty of games to watch for those craving more baseball.

The second week of The Show Player’s Tournament starts Monday with Nationals star-slugger Juan Soto highlighting the group that includes the Brewers Josh Hader, the Cubs Ian Happ, Carlos Santana representing the Indians and more.

Each of the players will be streaming their matchups from their personal Twitch pages, but you can follow MLB on Twitter, Twitch, or Facebook to follow along live. Aside from those streams, in order to provide a full gameday experience, MLB Network will provide a livestream in which it will select the best one-on-one matchups and look into other game results and friendly banter.
