The WNBA Draft will be held, digitally, on Friday, Apr. 17. Here’s everything you need to know, including the pick order, schedule and live stream information.

The WNBA will be the first major American sports league to hold a digital draft during the novel coronavirus pandemic. It begins Friday, Apr. 17, at 7:00 p.m. ET, airing on ESPN. It’s an experiment that other leagues will be watching closely and will, hopefully, bring some additional and much-deserved attention to a draft that could reshape the league.

The draft’s big prize is Oregon guard, Sabrina Ionescu, all but certain to go to the New York Liberty with the No. 1 pick. Ionescu averaged 17.5 points, 9.1 assists, 8.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in her interrupted senior season, shooting 39.2 percent on 3-pointers and 59 percent inside the arc. She has franchise-making potential and the Liberty have maneuvered to get themselves five of the first 15 picks in the draft to surround her with complementary young talent.

The Dallas Wings are another team looking to make a big splash. They have three of the first seven picks and will be looking to land some help for the high-scoring Arike Ogunbowale. The WNBA has 12 teams and their draft runs for three rounds.
