Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban thinks the NBA will play again this summer.

Mark Cuban is keeping himself busy during these social distancing days. The Dallas Mavericks owner and Shark Tank star has been all over the TV and radio airwaves giving interviews and is even working on President Donald Trump’s “opening our country” advisory council.

Friday morning, Cuban appeared on FanSided’s Da Windy City Podcast with Mark Carman. Cuban touched on a number of subjects including his role on Trump’s advisory council, his prediction for when the NBA will return to action and even his new favorite social media platform.

Mark Cuban on when he thinks the NBA will return:

“I think we will play again,” Cuban said. “We all want a chance to play, but safety first. As long as we can keep the guys healthy and anybody involved healthy, and safe. I’m a good partner, I will do what’s best for the NBA and our fans.”

Mark Cuban on why he likes TikTok:

“I like Tik-Tok actually cause it gives me some fun things to do with my kids,” Cuban said. “My daughter Alexis is 16 is on Tik-Tik and she is kind of like the driving force. It gives us a chance to spend time together cause for a 16-year old daughter, unless she can use me to get more views and likes on her Tik-Tok she has no use for me. ”

Mark Cuban on the possibility of running for president:

“I would have done it, but my family voted it down,” Cuban said. “They are the most important thing to me. They don’t want to go through all the grief and hassles and all that. Maybe it all changes and politics gets a little nicer, a little saner with all this and hopefully a little less partisan.”

Finally, Cuban has been keeping in contact with his Dallas Mavericks players. The team currently sits as the 7th seed in the Western Conference. If the playoffs started today, Dallas would face the Los Angeles Clippers in round one. Cuban believes his players would be ready.

“Everyone wants to play,” Cuban said. “They are going stir crazy. They’re chomping at the bit. You might find some of them at outside courts on a nice day down here in Dallas, you’ll see some of our guys just shooting by themselves on outdoor courts.”
