Patrick Mahomes watched Tom Brady score an absurd birdie during The Match, and lost his mind alongside America.

In 2020, nothing seems real anymore.

Everyone on the globe has been touched by the COVID-19 pandemic. On Memorial Day weekend, most Americans are used to watching playoff hockey and basketball, MLB baseball, and maybe checking out some PGA Tour and NASCAR. This time around? Not so much.

However, we’ve been given the gift of The Match, pitting a pairing of Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning against Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady. For most of the afternoon, Brady has stunk in the Florida rain, but on the ninth hole, the future Hall of Fame quarterback hit an epic shot.

Of course, everyone watching went crazy, including Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes, 24, is one of the more relatable athletes to the everyman. He’s always watching sports, reacting on social media and letting the emotions flow. As seen by the tweet above, this is another example.

In the NFL, Mahomes and Brady have locked horns three times. Brady got the best of the youngster in their first two tilts, with the New England Patriots winning in Week 6 of the 2018 season and then delivering an AFC Championship Game victory at Arrowhead Stadium in overtime later that year.

However, Mahomes beat Brady in Week 14 last season, en route to the Chiefs winning their first Super Bowl since the 1969 campaign. The two are set to battle again in 2020, this time meeting in Week 12 with Brady suited up as a Tampa Bay Buccaneer.
