3 players who won’t be on the Chicago Bears roster after 2020 season
By Scott Rogust
There’s no denying that Allen Robinson is the best player on Chicago’s offense. However, he’s been cursed throughout his career with poor quarterback play. Robinson thought he escaped the nightmare years with Blake Bortles by signing a three-year, $42 million contract with the Bears in 2018. He secured the bag, but it came at the expense of inheriting the check-down king himself in Mitchell Trubisky.
Even so, Robinson managed to put up a monster stat-line last season. Through 15 games, Robinson hauled in 98-of-154 targets for 1,147 yards and seven touchdowns. It’s important to note, however, that Robinson only dropped seven passes in 2019, the rest of those misses came off terrible throws by Trubisky.
Robinson is set to hit unrestricted free agency in 2021, and you best believe he’ll sign with a Super Bowl contending team with a solid quarterback under center! It’s time for A-Rob to finally compete for a championship.
