Even in limited action, Giannis Antetokounmpo still looks unstoppable

Giannis Antetokounmpo looked great in his return to the court.

The Milwaukee Bucks were back in action Thursday against the San Antonio Spurs in exhibition play down in Orlando. The Bucks picked up an easy 113-92 victory in their scrimmage and, most importantly, Giannis Antetokounmpo looked dominant.

The MVP only played 21 minutes, but was able to score 22 points. He also added four assists, three rebounds and three steals, shooting 9-for-13 from the field. His only misses were all 3-pointers.

Stopping Antetokounmpo seems to be impossible once he gets going toward the rim. The Greek Freak also drained one 3 in the scrimmage, which has become a new part of his already dominant game.

He led all scorers and probably could have gone for 40 points if he played a full game. Twenty-two points in 21 minutes should scare opposing teams considering this was the first scrimmage back after four months off.

The Bucks will be the No. 1 seed in the playoffs barring a total collapse in Orlando. The success of Antetokounmpo is a main reason why the Bucks have the best record in basketball at 53-12 and why the team is a legitimate title contender to LeBron James‘ Los Angeles Lakers.

Antetokounmpo was moving just fine, and this is just him warming up after a long break. He is looking to cap off a season in which he is averaging just under 29.6 points per game with an average of only 30.9 minutes per contest. He is also averaging 13.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists a night, and those numbers should only shoot up in postseason play with a larger workload.

There appears to be nothing this man can’t do, and his next goal is to win a title with Milwaukee. After that comes talk of a super-max extension to make sure Antetokounmpo becomes a staple for a Bucks franchise that has been waiting since 1971 to hoist another NBA championship.
