Looking at the Kraken’s sweet new jerseys

When news broke of the NHL’s newest expansion team, many feared that the organization would adopt the city’s traditional navy blue and emerald green colors just like the Seahawks and Mariners. While the navy blue remains, the secondary color will be sky blue with tertiary red stripe along the bottom and sleeves of the uniform.

But more importantly, let’s look at the logo. The primary will be the letter “S” shaped like a tentacle, with a serpent-looking red eye along the top. As for the secondary logo, they will be shaped like anchors, because you know Seattle has to stick with it’s mariner theme.

If you thought the home sweaters were great looking, just look at their away kits!

It’s great to see that the Kraken didn’t bungle the uniform announcement like the Vegas Golden Knights back in 2018. The name and uniforms are creative and not generic. That’s a huge win for the league and the “Emerald City.”
