Eagles cornerback Jalen Mills made an appeal to LeSean McCoy.

After playing on a one-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs during the most recent NFL season where he ended up winning the first Super Bowl of his career, running back LeSean McCoy then became a free agent. And despite a solid year with the Chiefs where he averaged an impressive 4.6 yards per carry, McCoy still remains a free agent.

Throughout his free agency, the Eagles have been discussed as a very possible landing spot for McCoy. And back in March, McCoy took to Instagram to express his love for Philadelphia and called it “home.”

The post also led current Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson to make an appeal to McCoy to return to Philadelphia by pointing out the “reunion” the two could have if McCoy does go back to the Birds.  Both Jackson and McCoy played with each other from 2009, when McCoy first got to the Eagles, up until 2013, when Jackson signed with Washington.

On Friday, Eagles cornerback Jalen Mills went on Twitter to make another appeal to Shady McCoy in hopes that he will sign with Philly.

McCoy has expressed his desire to win another title

In his tweet, Mills is making an appeal to McCoy’s hopes of being able to win another championship, which he said that he wanted to do after his year with the Chiefs. McCoy further explained that he does not want to go from playing with Kansas City, an incredibly talented team, to playing on just an average team.

McCoy has said throughout his free agency that he is talking with a few teams, including some of his “favorites”, and the two teams that have been brought up as possible suitors are the Eagles and Chargers.

The Eagles have a young, impressive running back in Miles Sanders who led the team in rushing yards last season, but is still inexperienced, and their second running back Jordan Howard departed for Miami.

In Los Angeles, the Chargers could certainly use some help at the running back position due to the departure of Melvin Gordon.

But with McCoy having a history with the Eagles, and with him being the franchises’ leading rusher, it seems unlikely that the Eagles will not see Shady wearing green and white in 2020.

On top of his history with the squad, the Eagles’ players seem to have sway over McCoy, and if he truly wants to contend for another title, Philadelphia is surely a much better option than the Chargers.
