2020 Emmys: Complete list of this year’s very strange Emmy nominees

Surreal as it may seem, the 2020 Emmys are continuing apace and that means it’s nominee announcement time.

The Emmys are going to be weird this year. Before we even discuss the still-TBD logistics of the ceremony, the year of TV which it seeks to celebrate has been strange to say the least. Half the season under consideration was business as usual — Stranger Things season 4, which came out last July is eligible — and half will forever be associated with quarantine entertainment. Will we see a nomination forTiger King?

The 2020 Emmy nominees come from a pool of eligible TV shows. Shows must have aired in the U.S. between June 1, 2019 and May 31, 2020. (Something called the hanging rule allows shows that will air final season episodes after May 31 to be eligible if the episodes are finished and available for screening by the voting body.) (This also means many shows whose production was halted or delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic are already out of the running.) (It’s a super weird year!)

How to watch the 2020 Emmy nominations announcement
