Watch as referee saves Norma Dumont from nearly flashing her breast at UFC Vegas 15 (Video)

An official saved Norma Dumont from an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.

Norma Dumont defeated Ashlee Evans-Smith tonight at UFC Vegas 15 via a unanimous decision in her first fight since February of this year. That however was not the most notable moment of the fight.

The bout was officiated by Jason Herzog, a staple of the UFC‘s Saturday night fight offerings and he proved why he’s one of the best referees in MMA. Late in the final round of the fight, Dumont had Evans-Smith on her back against the cage and was working her way towards a submission finish when Herzog called a brief pause to the action reaching in to re-orient the fighter’s top saving her from flashing the fight fans watching live on ESPN.

Evans-Smith was able to avoid the submission following the restart, taking the fight to the judge’s scorecards where it was called in Dumont’s favor via unanimous decision. Dumont who was considered a slight underdog in the event improved her UFC record to 5-1 with the decision.
