DraftKings NBA picks August 1: Pascal’s version of the triangle

The NBA in August? Isn’t the world a great place? We have five games for our DraftKings NBA tournaments in the bubble today. LeBron and the Lakers are back at it while Toronto, Miami, Denver, Oklahoma City, Philly, and Indy make their bubble debuts. The games start earlier at 1pm Eastern and there’s no overlap today. It’s going to be a fun one!

Yes, there are still injuries in the bubble. Let’s check those out before we try to figure out how to afford all the stars.

Out: Domantas Sabonis (foot), Will Barton (knee), Montrezl Harrell (left bubble), Bojan Boganovic (wrist), Lou Williams (strippers), Gary Harris (hip), Jeremy Lamb (knee), Big Dog III (hip), Rajon Rondo (thumb), Vlatko Cancar (foot), Darius Miller (Achilles), Ryan Broekhoff (opt out), Zhaire Smith (knee), Avery Bradley (opt out), Patrick McCaw (knee), Oshae Brissett (knee),

Questionable: Jamal Murray (hamstring), Victor Oladipo (knee), Malcolm Brogdon (cervix), KZ Okpala (tendonitis), Amir Coffey (hip), Goga Bitadze (knee),

LeBron, Kuzma, and A.D. are listed as questionable, but there’s little doubt anywhere that they will play. Oladipo practiced on back to back days, so it looks like he’s going to be good to go.

It  seems like yesterday most people threw darts to afford the stars. It paid off as Harden went berserk for 85.25 DraftKings points. Giannis and Luka were huge too. My best lineup was 336.75, and I still barely cracked the top 2500. 300 didn’t even cash!

Back by popular demand is the trifecta, where I attempt to pick the top three point scorers of the day. I’m not going to do ownership. That’s impossible. But for what it’s worth, I’ll take Porter as the highest owned.

My picks for top three scorers in order are LeBron, Siakam, and Embiid.
