DraftKings NBA picks August 2: Getting Freaky in Orlando

The NBA in August? Isn’t the world a great place? We have six games for our DraftKings NBA tournaments in the bubble today. Harden and Luka are back in action. So are the exciting Blazers and the ravaged Nets. Value is the name of the game again today.

Yes, there are still injuries in the bubble. Let’s check those out before we try to figure out how to afford all the stars.

Out: Eric Bledsoe (conditioning), Kelly Oubre (knee), Eric Gordon (ankle), Courtney Lee (calf), Bryn Forbes (quad), Marco Belinelli (foot), Jalen Brunson (shoulder), Taurean Prince (coronavirus), Brad Beal (shoulder), John Wall (Achilles), Spencer Dinwiddie (coronavirus), Kevin Durant (Achilles), DeAndre Jordan (opt out), Wilson Chandler (opt out), Davis Bertans (opt out), Kyrie Irving (shoulder), Gary Payton II (coronavirus), Garrison Mathews (opt out), Trevor Ariza (opt out), Rodney Hood (Achilles), Caleb Swanigan (opt out), LaMarcus Aldridge (shoulder), Trey Lyles (appendix), Tyus Jones (knee), Justise Winslow (hip), Marvin Bagley (foot), Al-Farouq Aminu (knee), Alex Len (conditioning), Thabo Sefalosha (opt out), Bruno Caboclo (ankle), Pat Connaughton (conditioning), Dwight Powell (Achilles), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (conditioning), Willie Cauley-Stein (opt out).

Questionable: Aron Baynes (conditioning), Frank Mason (back), Wes Iwundu (neck), Jamal Crawford (conditioning), Jaylen Adams (back), Luc Mbah a Moute (coronavirus), Jalen Lecque (left bubble),

LeBron, Kuzma, and A.D. are listed as questionable, but there’s little doubt anywhere that they will play. Oladipo practiced on back to back days, so it looks like he’s going to be good to go.

I had a solid day yesterday thanks to T.J. Warren picking up the slack of Mitchell, LeBron, and Holiday. If I had only used Embiid and Warren in the same line! The value pick of Torrey Craig was money!

Back by popular demand is the trifecta, where I attempt to pick the top three point scorers of the day. I’m not going to do ownership. That’s impossible.

The top three scorers yesterday were Embiid, Warren, and Lowry. I only had one of the three right and he wasn’t in order. On to today! I’ll go with  Giannis, Luka, and Harden.
