DraftKings NBA picks August 4: Take a look at Westbrook

DraftKings NBA guard plays
The current NBA rotation has Harden, Luka, and Giannis every other day. I’ve flipped on them every time and I’m doing it again. Today I’m prioritizing Luka and Westbrook since we don’t have the value plays to just throw whoever we want in there.
Harden has struggled with C.J.’s defense this year, even in the two games that Russ didn’t play against Portland. On the other hand, Russ dropped 66 in his game against the Blazers. I’ll take Luka over Russ on pure points, but when you factor in the price and matchup, Westbrook has the chance to be the highest scorer on the last, and definitely should be one of the better point per dollar plays out there.
It comes down to a price thing for the Portland backcourt too. Lillard is more expensive than Westbrook right now. That cements Westbrook even more. CJ is a bit pricy at $8,200, but I’d play him over Lillard unless you’re stacking the backcourt.
You need to pay up or punt at point because the middle options are all terrible for the price. The only one I would even consider right now is Rubio, and I’m not crazy about that since the Clippers can throw Reggie and Beverley at him whenever they want. Kemba is still on a minutes limit. Tyler Johnson is at least $2,000 too high considering he has hit only 20 DraftKings points in both games inside the bubble.
Bledsoe’s return messes up the Bucks rotations. So will the blowout. I would expect Bledsoe to play only around 20 minutes, but DiVincenzo is too expensive to throw out there just for the hell of it.
This may be the time to roll with Bogdan Bogdanovic. His two games in the bubble have been solid and he’s still pretty cheap. He doesn’t have much upside with the Kings running 10 deep right now, but He’ll pay off that price tag.
Orlando is tough on point guards, but Malcolm Brogdon played 35 minutes yesterday and played well. I expect him to go well above value while his price is still this low.
Goran Dragic and Reggie Jackson are about as good as value gets at the point. Dragic has the higher ceiling. Jackson is more of a sure thing. I even like Patrick Beverley for his price point, but if Williams returns, I’m probably fading all Clippers guards.
Gary Trent is the best value play on the entire slate. Even Boston couldn’t get enough hands in his face. Trent is 11-16 from downtown in the bubble and the Rockets are notorious for ole defense. Trent could light them up too.
