Real Madrid continue to express interest in acquiring Paulo Dybala this summer, but their most recent offer is of zero interest to Juventus officials.

Zinedine Zidane believes Paulo Dybala is the sort of attacker who can help Real Madrid achieve Champions League glory. Juventus already understand he’s that kind of player. That’s precisely why The Old Lady are not interested in Real Madrid’s most recent transfer offer for the scintillating Argentine.

According to Sport MediaSet, Real Madrid are trying everything within their power to afford paying a full cash offer for Dybala. As such, they’ve floated the idea of sending either Toni Kroos or Isco to Turin as part of any deal. Juventus are not interested in including either veteran in the deal if Real Madrid expect their values to hold at £50 million or more.

Officials for the Serie A giants have been adamant that their strong preference is for Dybala to stay this summer. Any transfer offer for his services must exceed £100 million to be considered. Real Madrid’s latest plan is to use Isco or Kroos as a makeweight for approximately half of that fee.

Juventus are not going to accept that sort of cut-rate move. They are a club in transition due to the managerial change from Maurizio Sarri to Andrea Pirlo in recent days. The last thing they want to do is trade young players for aging veterans on massive wages. They need to build the sort of squad that will listen to Pirlo’s tactics without being overly concerned about his lack of managerial experience. Players like Kroos and Isco could easily decide they know more about running the club than Pirlo does at this stage of his career.

Keeping Dybala might also be the key to Juventus’ hopes to keep hold of Cristiano Ronaldo this summer. He was content to stay with the club while Sarri was in charge, but there have been rumblings of interest in a move to PSG in the wake of Pirlo’s hiring. Offloading Dybala is seen as a move that could push Ronaldo out the door.

That’s why the odds remain stacked against Real Madrid completing a sensational move for Dybala. If they want to pry him away from Juventus, they’ll need to significantly increase their cash transfer offer. Until that happens, the Argentine won’t be leaving The Old Lady.
