The NBA bubble has worked to perfection so far.

The NBA bubble in Orlando has been a grand experiment that has been flawless up to this point. The quarantines have been strict and no one has been allowed in without a series of negative tests.

We are still learning a lot about COVID-19 so testing remains important even with the bubble format. Great news was shared once again about how zero players have returned a positive test.

While other professional sports league struggle, the NBA is doing it right

The NBA being strict has been the key. While some MLB players are going out and ignoring protocol, Lou Williams learned that the NBA will respond to that with a 10-day quarantine. They are not messing around and it is for the safety of everyone involved.

The league has essentially provided the country with a blueprint on how to track individuals and prevent outbreaks.

A new test is coming for the NBA as players on teams who reach the second round of the playoffs will be allowed to have guests enter the bubble. The rules there are strict as well and anyone coming in with have to quarantine at home before doing the same upon arrival.

The NBA and also the NHL have provided a blueprint on how to play during a global pandemic. Having players and owners work together on a solution was key, unlike in baseball where the only thing anyone cared about was the money.

The key now is not getting antsy and breaking any quarantine rules. Allowing guests for teams in the second round of the playoffs is a genius move and should help ease the stress of being away from friends and family for so long.

Another bubble may be needed to begin next season and the league has proven to be proactive. Basketball fans are in great hands in terms of being able to rely on games being played in a safe and still entertaining manner.
