During his first group media interview since the NFL Draft, Tua Tagovailoa rocked a Dolphins Ryan Fitzpatrick jersey.

Former star Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa hasn’t even played in a game for the Miami Dolphins yet, but he’s quickly emerging as a legend in Florida. Tagovailoa, who was taken in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, is getting ready to kickstart his rookie campaign.

On Thursday, the talented lefty met with reporters for a group interview, his first since being taken by the Dolphins in the spring. In true Tagovailoa fashion, he stole the show when he took a seat and was seen rocking a Ryan Fitzpatrick jersey.

Tagovailoa showing love to the bearded man known as ‘Fitzmagic’ is something we all didn’t think we needed.

Fans are probably sending letters to the team asking Tagovailoa to be placed in the team’s ‘Honor Roll’ as soon as possible. Leave it to Tagovailoa to show big respect to Miami’s veteran quarterback and provide fans with a big smile in the process.

Off the field, Tagovailoa has already won over the fan base because of his humble ways and outgoing personality. On the field, he’ll look to make some noise during his rookie season, but knows he may have to study behind Fitzpatrick at the start of the year.

Tagovailoa is less than one year removed from his frightening hip injury that cut his career short in Tuscaloosa. However, he’s rehabbed around the clock since then and has been cleared for all football activities. Knowing the kind of competitor he is, he’ll be ready to push for the starting job from the moment he hits the field at training camp.

At the same time, the Dolphins don’t want to rush Tagovailoa into action too quickly. So, if Fitzpatrick ends up starting Week 1, don’t be surprised when one of his biggest fans from the sidelines is Tagovailoa.
