This Sunday, FanDuel will present the DFS community with a large number of contests for the final round of the Wyndham Championship. Let’s take a look at this slate from a fantasy golf perspective!

Before I discuss my FanDuel player selections I want to clearly state that this article is specifically focused on the final round contest. The final round contest is vastly different with regard to scoring than the traditional contest offered by FanDuel for DFS golf.

If you are not familiar with the rules for the final round contest I recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

Here are my FanDuel player selections for the final round of the 2020 Wyndham Championship.

Webb Simpson $11,900

The American has eight top 11 finishes at the Wyndham Championship in the last ten years, including a win in 2011. It should be noted that in those eight top 11 finishes just mentioned, Simpson’s average final round score was an impressive 65.25!

Simpson has also been playing some outstanding golf this season. An illustration of his outstanding play can be seen in the fact that Webb has accumulated two wins on the PGA Tour this season.

Billy Horschel $10,400

Horschel has three top 25 finishes in his last four events on the PGA Tour. Additionally, in his last four final rounds played on the PGA Tour, Billy’s final round scoring average is 68.5.

I should also mention that since 2016 Horschel has three top 11 finishes at the Wyndham Championship.

Doc Redman $9,300

The former Clemson Tiger has four top 29 finishes in his last six events on the PGA Tour, including an 11th place result at the Travelers championship in June. Redman is currently ranked 19th in par 4 birdie or better percentage (20.24%), 12th in GIR (greens in regulation-70.54%) and 15th in strokes gained approach (.583) on the PGA Tour.

As of this writing (Friday evening), after two rounds of competitive play at the 2020 Wyndham Championship, Redman is currently tied for fifth place with a score of nine under par.

Henrik Norlander $8,800

In his last event played on the PGA Tour, Norlander fired a final round 65 at the 3M Open en route to a 23rd place finish.

After two rounds of play at the 2020 Wyndham Championship, in relation to the field, Norlander currently ranks first in strokes gained approach and 17th in strokes gained ball striking.

Talor Gooch $8,200

The 28 year old American fired a final round 68 at the 3M Open three weeks ago on his way to an eventual 18th place finish.

After two two rounds of play at the 2020 Wyndham Championship, in relation to the field, Gooch currently ranks tenth in strokes gained off the tee, fifth in strokes gained ball striking, and eighth in strokes gained putting. Gooch is currently tied for first place with a two round cumulative score of ten under par.

Michael Gligic $7,000

The Canadian has two consecutive top 26 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 25th place result at the Barracuda Championship two weeks ago. In my opinion, Gligic presents outstanding fantasy value at a FanDuel price of only $7,000.
