NBA DFS picks August 22: How many of the big three do we need to succeed?

We have a high noon (central time) showdown for the start of the last of the game threes in our NBA DFS tournaments. There are more stars out every other day, but most of them haven’t been worth paying up for in these series. Will that change today? First, let’s take a look at who’s still injured.

Out: Russell Westbrook (quad), Domantas Sabonis (foot), Jonathan Isaac (knee), Michael Carter-Williams (foot), Zach Collins (ankle), Mo Bamba (coronavirus).

Questionable: Aaron Gordon (hamstring), Jae Crowder (ankle), Derrick Jones (ankle), Rajon Rondo (thumb).

Giannis, LeBron, and A.D. aren’t sitting. It’s the playoffs. However, if the games get out of hand, it’s possible that the coaches will limit the workload on each of them. Gordon’s status is worth keeping an eye on though. Orlando needs him if they are to take another game from the Bucks.

The status of Gordon will determine if I have to overhaul lineups or not. Hopefully it comes early enough that I’m not pigeonholed to someone the same price as Ennis.

Luka leaving early made sure I didn’t get much out of my efforts last night, but those lineups were long before assassinated by the likes of O’Neale and Norman Powell.
