Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce didn’t hesitate in saying he had a better pro career than Dwyane Wade

Over in Boston, Paul Pierce will never have to pay for a beer again. Not only was he an NBA champion with the Celtics, but he’s also one of the best players to ever don one of their jerseys in team history.

But, in the debate of who had a better NBA career between him and Dwyane Wade, who would you go with? If you ask Pierce, it’s not as difficult a question as you might expect. Matter of fact, he wasted no time whatsoever in revealing his answer.

Paul Pierce strongly believes he had a better NBA career than Dwyane Wade

In the video above, you can see just how adamant Pierce was in saying he had a better career and alluded to all the help Wade got during his younger playing days to help him win so many championships.

Early on in Miami, Wade was teamed up with players like LeBron James and Chris Bosh, while also suiting up with Shaquille O’Neal. Pierce claimed he would have won several more NBA Finals had he been paired up with that kind of talent when he was in his mid-20s.

Wade won three NBA Finals, all with the Heat, while Pierce took home one title in 2008. It should be noted, he was on quite the stacked team for that title, as Pierce was playing alongside Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett.

Pierce even went on to say he could have taken home 5-6 NBA championships if he had the kind of talent Wade had around him. That seems like a bit of a stretch, but Pierce seemed pretty fired up about that idea. While both had stellar careers and are legends in multiple cities, Pierce believes he’s on top of this debate.
