Courtland Sutton may have gotten hurt in Denver Broncos practice on Thursday.

The Denver Broncos may have had another star player of theirs get hurt in Courtland Sutton.

According to Troy Renck of Denver7, Sutton made a reaching catch and fell awkwardly to the ground before heading to the locker room with team trainers.

Should Denver Broncos fans be considered about Courtland Sutton’s injury?

It’s been a while since the Broncos last qualified for the AFC playoffs. Not since winning Super Bowl 50 have the Broncos even sniffed the postseason. With second-year head coach Vic Fangio and second-year starting quarterback Drew Lock, Denver was poised to contend for an AFC Wild Card berth and second place behind the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West division standings.

Now, the Broncos are falling apart like the rival Los Angeles Chargers typically do. They will be without their best player for the season in outside linebacker Von Miller. Their other star pass rusher Bradley Chubb is working his way back from a season-ending injury from 2019. Though they’ve made other changes to their roster this offseason, you can’t lose two key pieces like this.

Hopefully, Sutton’s potential shoulder injury isn’t too bad. The Broncos need him to be at least somewhat healthy in the first four weeks of the season to help bring Lock along. Though he has other players to throw the football to, Sutton is the most established receiver on the Broncos after Emmanuel Sanders was traded to the San Francisco 49ers mid-season last year.

Denver needs Sutton to play well if the Broncos want to end their current playoff skid in 2020.
