Titans are allowing fans into their stadium starting Week 4

Starting on Oct. 4, the Tennessee Titans will allow a limited number of fans to attend the team’s home games. 

With the Tennessee Titans getting ready to host the Jacksonville Jaguars for their first home game of the season this weekend, countless fans out there are no doubt bummed they won’t be able to pack Nissan Stadium like normal to support the team. Due to COVID-19, there will be no in-person attendance throughout September.

However, it looks like the Tennessee faithful won’t have to wait too much longer before they can start packing the seats once again. On Thursday morning, it was announced that the organization will be welcoming back fans at a limited capacity starting on Oct. 4 for the showdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Around 7,000 fans will be allowed inside of Nissan Stadium for the team’s first game in October

This is welcome news for Titans fans, who are hoping the team can improve to 2-0 this weekend after taking down the Denver Broncos in a Week 1 Monday Night Football battle. Things will no question will be weird on Sunday inside an empty stadium for the Titans-Jaguars tilt, but in the coming weeks, more and more fans will be able to make their way inside.

As of now, the plan is for the Titans to host around 7,000 fans on Oct. 4, with the numbers growing each week after that. The front office clearly wants to experiment with the low number of die-hards, and then expand on the numbers depending on how things go.

We’re seeing multiple teams experiment with a small percentage of people being allowed to attend games. For Thursday Night Football‘s Week 2 matchup between the Browns and Bengals for example, 6,000 fans will be let inside the gates to catch the action.

While it most certainly feels like strange times in the NFL, the Titans are ready to slowly but surely start welcoming back their fans. At the same time, they’re going to be taking all the necessary precautions to make sure everyone is safe.
