These five La Liga talents are in desperate need of a strong campaign this season.

The 2020-2021 La Liga season got underway last weekend with 14 teams kicking off their new campaign. This season is sure to be a unique and pivotal one for multiple clubs. Some teams such as FC Barcelona are aiming to redeem themselves following a putrid campaign last season. Other teams such as Sevilla FC and Villarreal are looking to build on the momentum from last season and orchestrate another strong campaign this year.

Multiple players are also aiming to produce a sound season amid hefty expectations. These five La Liga talents are examples of just that. Each of these players failed to meet expectations last season and are now under heavy pressure from their clubs this year to live up to the hype surrounding their play. A select few players on this list are facing make-or-break seasons where a failure to play up to expectations may result in a departure from the team over next year’s summer transfer window.
