Raiders running back Josh Jacobs wore cleats honoring Al Davis for the teams’ Las Vegas debut.

Josh Jacobs found a cool way to honor the past and present on Monday Night Football.

The Raiders‘ running back turned up to Allegiant Stadium for the first-ever Las Vegas home game in the NFL with cleats thanking the city of Oakland and honoring legendary owner Al Davis.

The silver and black cleats bore Davis’ catchphrase “Just win baby!”

“Thank you Oakland,” also appeared prominently on the shoes.

Jacobs posted more details from the cleats on his Instagram story.

While one side of each shoe highlights the past of the Raiders’ franchise with Davis and Oakland featured, the other side is all about the new stadium and Las Vegas as a city.

The “Welcome To Las Vegas” sign appears with a pair of dice bearing Jacobs’ number, 28.

It’s a cool gesture from the second-year player who seems to have embraced his team fully, from the former owner and former city to its new home.

Jacobs was drafted by the Raiders out of Alabama in 2019. The No. 24 overall pick started 13 games for the team in its final season in Oakland, gaining 1,150 yards and seven touchdowns for the season. His performance landed him on the 2019 NFL All-Rookie Team.

He picked up where he left off in Week 1 of the 2020 season. On 25 carries in a win over the Carolina Panthers, Jacobs had 93 yards and three touchdowns.

This week, the Raiders are opening their home slate against the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.

Jacobs scored all seven of his touchdowns at home last season in Oakland. He’ll be looking to carry that same kind of home form into the new era of Raider football in Las Vegas.
