Kylian Mbappe isn’t going to leave PSG this summer, but Real Madrid will defeat Liverpool in their quest to sign the talented attacker next year.

Real Madrid aren’t in a position to spend big money this summer, but things could change drastically for Los Blancos over the next 12 months. Expect the Spanish giants to open up their purse strings when Kylian Mbappe makes the decision to leave PSG.

Liverpool are also credited with a strong interest in the electric attacker, but Jurgen Klopp’s side are set to suffer a bitter defeat at the hands of Zinedine Zidane. Goal claims that Mbappe has already made the decision to take his talents to Real Madrid at the proper moment in his career. That’s bad news for higher-ups at Anfield who are working to build the next generation of Liverpool’s attack.

It’s also an unfortunate situation for PSG to find themselves in. The combination of Neymar and Mbappe up front powered the French giants to a Champions League final last season. They fancy themselves as peers to Real Madrid in terms of European football. The understanding that they’ll ultimately lose Mbappe to Spain is a cold reminder of just how far PSG still must progress in terms of perception.

Mbappe certainly has the explosive talent required to succeed in Real Madrid’s system. He may never lead the team’s line through a classic No. 9 position, but he can thrive playing out wide in Zidane, or any other potential manager’s, system at the club. His prolific scoring record and versatility will make him a very expensive transfer purchase when the time comes.

That’s the silver lining for PSG. They know they are in a position to ask for a massive fee when they are forced to part with Mbappe. Real Madrid will try to knock that fee down due to the player’s desire to only join them. Even if that tactic is partially successful, Mbappe should still fetch upwards of £100 million.

Next. Liverpool can benefit massively from Messi's return to Barcelona. dark

The clear winner here is still Real Madrid. One of the world’s brightest attackers has his heart set on a move to Spain. It’s only a matter of time till Los Blancos make it happen.
