LeBron James is making his tenth NBA Finals appearance…but he wants more

James and the Lakers took out the Denver Nuggets in five games, marking the tenth time LeBron has won his conference. This is also the third team James is taking to the NBA Finals, with the previous two being the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat.

Those same Heat could ironically be his opponent in the NBA Finals. Miami is up 3-1 over the Boston Celtics entering Sunday’s action. Despite his friends on the other side of the bubble, James isn’t about to let anyone get in his way of another NBA Title.

Do LeBron James’ Lakers have what it takes to win four more games on the NBA’s greatest stage?

The easy answer is yes. This roster was constructed by Rob Pelinka and, by association, James. Anthony Davis quite literally but Los Angeles over the top, but bringing in the likes of Dwight Howard and even Danny Green has made Frank Vogel’s squad a considerable favorite regardless of who they face.

The Heat, though, will serve as a tough out should they win one more game and clinch the Eastern Conference title. Miami has blitzed its way through the playoffs facing very little resistance. Jimmy Butler is their leader, but by no means dominating the stat sheet this postseason. Goran Dragic leads Miami in scoring, and just last game Tyler Hero dropped 30-plus to take Game 4.

The Lakers have their hands full, but if LeBron plays like he did Saturday night — dropping 38 points, 10 assists and 16 rebounds — there’s no stopping him.
