Sunday, Oct. 4

Arizona Cardinals (2-1) at Carolina Panthers (1-2), 1:00 pm

Cardinals: Second-year quarterback Kyler Murray has been a mixed bag so far this season. His completion percentage (66.4) is up from how he finished last season (64.4), he’s thrown for five scores and run for four others. But he’s thrown at least one interception in each game and has already been picked off five times (12 in 2019).

Panthers: Last week, the team snapped a 10-game losing streak with a road win over the Chargers. Matt Rhule’s club got its first sacks of the season, dropping Los Angeles’ quarterback Justin Herbert twice. But can the offensive line protect Teddy Bridgewater (sacked 8 times in ’19) from a Cardinals’ pass rush that has totaled 11 sacks?

Indianapolis Colts (2-1) at Chicago Bears (3-0), 1:00 pm

Colts: Since losing to the Jaguars in Week 1, the defense has excelled. After giving up three TD passes to Gardner Minshew, the club stole three Kirk Cousins’ passes and then picked off Sam Darnold three times – returning two thefts for TDs. Indianapolis has allowed a combined 18 points and just two touchdowns in their last two games.

Bears: Lost in the quarterback change from Mitch Trubisky to veteran Nick Foles has been the play of the Chicago defense in the fourth quarter. Matt Nagy’s team has outscored the opposition by a 41-10 count in the final quarter and did not allow a point in the final 15 minutes in the wins over the Lions and Falcons – both on the road
