Clayton Kershaw pitched eight innings of a postseason game and didn’t suck.

It’s the 2020 postseason and Clayton Kershaw didn’t tank. Yes, you are reading that right. We repeat … Clayton Kershaw didn’t tank. Kershaw went eight scoreless innings and 13 strike-outs for the Los Angeles Dodgers helping them to secure a 3-0 win. He threw some of his most famous pitches and with bated breath and the upmost hope, the fans started to believe a good postseason Kershaw might actually exist after all.

Prior to this game, Kershaw stunk in the postseason, and that’s a fact. He’s appeared in 32 postseason games and has a 9-11 record, a 4.33 ERA and gave up 24 home runs. Ouch.

Let’s just forgive all those other appearances since Thursday night was so magical.

With this win, the Dodgers advance having shut out the Milwaukee Brewers two games to none.

The Dodgers will face whoever wins Friday’s game between the San Deigo Padres and the St. Louis Cardinals. Their series is tied 1-1 after the Padres shocked everyone with back-to-back home runs to pull ahead and force a Game 3.
