The first round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft has come and gone, and while teams like the Rangers and Senators hit clear home runs early in the draft, there were a few teams that also struck gold a little later than expected.

The 2019-20 NHL season was unlike anything we’ve ever seen and it only figures that the 2020 NHL Entry Draft followed suit. From Craig Button announcing his “man-crush” on Jack Quinn to Alex Trebek announcing the Ottawa Senators No. 3overall pick, round one turned out to be a treat. Teams gathered in their respective “virtual war rooms” across North America, while the players anxiously gathered in front of their television sets at home.

All in all, 31 names were announced, but these three players stood out as potential “steals” of the 2020 NHL Draft.

Which teams got the best value in the first round of the NHL Draft?
