3. Damien Harris (NE)

Game: Denver Broncos at New England Patriots (Monday, 10/12,5:00 pm EST)

Patriots halfback Sony Michel has been placed on injured reserve. Ergo, some running back needs to absorb those carries in Josh McDaniel’s offense. New England has plenty of dudes to volunteer: James White, Rex Burkhead, and Damien Harris are the probable suitors.

We are capitalizing on the steam of Harris’ profitable outing versus the Kansas City Chiefs. Harris boasted 17 carries for 100 yards and looked impressive in doing so. He’s also an Alabama alumnus, so he has a pedigree for success. Bill Belichick scooped Harris out of the third round of the 2019 NFL draft, and this stretch might just anoint him as the Patriots bonafide RB1.

Put him as an emergency RB2 or FLEX in your Week 5 lineup.

4. Antonio Gibson (WAS)

Game: Los Angeles Rams at Washington Football Team (Sunday, 10/11,1:00 pm EST)

Derrick Guice weeded himself out of the NFL this summer. Adrian Peterson was released and later joined the Detroit Lions. The last man standing, so to speak, was Antonio Gibson, and here he sits in the sleeper Rolodex.

Gibson is a third-round talent from Memphis, and the stars have aligned just right for the young man to become the RB1 for the embattled Washington Football Team. The team made a switch at quarterback this week, strangely demoting Dwayne Haskins to QB3 after just 11 career starts. That’s Washington for you.

Gibson won’t be demoted any time soon. He will mature as a starting running back in this league. Give him another start in your lineup versus the Rams.
