Big moves were made in the first night of the WWE Draft including spliting the New Day up between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown

The WWE Draft is the focal point of the next two nights. Twenty wrestlers were up for grabs as SmackDown and Monday Night Raw made selections on who they would want to appear on each brand. Even though these individuals were up for grabs, there were still matches to pay close attention through as the evening went on.

A Falls-Count Anywhere match was up first. Big E and Sheamus have been at each other’s throats the last few weeks. That came to ahead in this match on Friday.

As soon as the bell rung, both men went to throwing punches and scrapping in the middle of the ring. They would fall outside and Big E would get tied up in the ropes. Sheamus then found a kendo stick and started battering the former tag team champion. They fought all the way to the back where Sheamus would cover Big E in eggs and flour from the catering area.

They kept fighting all the way to the garagae where carnage continued. Big E went through another windshield. Sheamus Brogue Kicked a car trunk off the hinges, and Big E finished it with a Big Ending off of the car, throw a table. He would pin Sheamus and win the match.

Tag team action was on deck now. Jeff Hardy and Matt Riddle competed against the Miz and John Morrison. Riddle and Hardy got off to a strong start, with Riddle hitting a suplex then going for a staple move in the Poetry in Motion. Riddle and Hardy dominated much of this match. There wasn’t a lot of tagging with all four men bouncing in and out. Riddle and Hardy would win after Riddle hit the Bro-Derrick on the Miz to get the win.

Sasha Banks and Bayley finally faced off of the SmackDown women’s title. Banks jumped all over Bayley early, forcing her from the ring. Bayley tried to walk out but Banks ran her down and threw her back in the ring. They kept going back and forth until Bayley smashed Banks in the knee with the steel chair, causing a disqualification.

The tag team titles were up for grabs with Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura defending against the returning Kofi Kington and Xavier Woods. The New Day looked like they did not miss a beat with their time away from the ring. The champions continued to fight back, but the challengers looked like they were one step ahead of them throughout majority of the match.

It looked like Cesaro and Nakamura were about to win but Woods broke up the move at the right time. Nakamura was left in the ring alone, and Woods capitalized with an elbow drop off the ropes to get the win and the tag team champions.

For the first time ever, the Fiend competed on SmackDown, taking on Kevin Owens in a singles match. Owens charged the Fiend but ended up being on the receiving end of a beating. Owens had some spurts of offense, but he ended up eating a Uranage and Sister Abigail on the table outside the ring. Owens tried to fight back but the Fiend continued to assault the former champion.

Owens found a way to take control of the match. He even landed a frog splash from the ring apron onto the Fiend who was lying on the ground. A Pop-Up Powerbomb put the Fiend through the announce table. The Fiend locked in the Mandible Claw and as Owens attempted to fight out he would eat another Uranage which led to his shoulders being pinned to the mat.
