Patrick Mahomes appears to already be putting in work to try and lure running back Le’Veon Bell to Kansas City.

You know Patrick Mahomes is always going to be ready to do whatever it takes to help the Kansas City Chiefs get better. After suffering their first loss of the season in Week 5 to the Las Vegas Raiders, Mahomes was no doubt ticked off.

That’s why it should come as no surprise that when the New York Jets released Le’Veon Bell, Mahomes was surely fired up when he found out the Chiefs had interest in bringing him to town. But, what exactly has Mahomes done to try and recruit him? Well, showing him some love on Twitter appears to be at the top of his list.

Le’Veon Bell could be on his way to the AFC West to suit up for the Kansas City Chiefs

Not only did Mahomes hit Bell with a Twitter follow, but Bell went ahead and followed him back. You think the reigning Super Bowl MVP did that by coincidence in the middle of the season? There’s just no way. Mahomes clearly sent a statement with his latest Twitter follow, and it’s that he wants the former Pro Bowler with him in Kansas City.

For Bell, he was in the middle of his second campaign with the New York Jets. After taking a year off from football, he signed a massive deal with New York, but struggled to ever really live up to his hype. In 2019, Bell rushed for a disappointing 789 yards and three touchdowns in 15 games. This season, he appeared in two contests, rushing for 74 yards.

Now, the former second-round pick is looking for a new home. Per Mahomes’ new Twitter activity, it sure looks like Bell is a wanted man in Kansas City.
