Bubba Wallace thinks he has what it takes to play quarterback for Tennessee football.

After seeing Jarrett Guarantano throw a pair of pick-sixes in less than three minutes, NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace was ready to go in and play for the Vols.

With four years of eligibility left, Wallace can’t be any worse than what we’ve seen from Guarantano, right?

Wallace may have a lucrative career in NASCAR, but he is a lifelong Tennessee football fan. His mother Desiree ran track for the Vols, so naturally, he grew up a huge fan of Tennessee athletics. After seeing Guarantano continue to not get it done, this time vs. the SEC East rival Kentucky Wildcats at home, Wallace tweeted a picture of him ready to play quarterback.

Tennessee should be at the point where the Vols can beat Kentucky regularly.

After winning their first two games of the season, Tennessee had no answer for the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens last week. With Kentucky coming to town, you’d think the Vols would be amped up and ready to take on the rival ‘Cats to get to 3-1. As it turns out, Guarantano has been a turnover machine, and it’s not getting better for Tennessee with him under center anymore.

So who knows if Wallace is even capable of playing quarterback in the SEC? He may not be the least bit good at quarterback, but he sure looks good in this photo. At 27-years-old, maybe his sage wisdom will do wonders in helping Jim Chaney’s offense get off the ground against quality SEC defenses like Georgia and Kentucky? It’s not happening, but a boy can dream, right?

Wallace will have to watch Tennessee play bad at home from the couch like the rest of us.
