This week, Sunday night football presents the FanDuel community with a clash of  NFC teams. Let’s take a look at this slate from a fantasy football perspective!

Before I discuss my FanDuel player picks for Sunday night’s game, let’s take a look at the key DFS injuries for both teams and briefly review the rules for the FanDuel single game contest.

Notable DFS Injuries

Rams: LB Ogbonnia Okoronkwo OUT; LB Micah Kiser QUESTIONABLE
49ers: LB Kwon Alexander, CB Dontae Johnson OUT; S Marcell Harris, CB Emmanuel Moseley, RB Jeff Wilson Jr. QUESTIONABLE

Let’s shift our focus to the rules for the FanDuel single game contest. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team MVP. The FanDuel MVP accumulates 1.5 times the standard FanDuel points value.

The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard FanDuel points value. Having stated that, it is highly important for you to identify the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the FanDuel single game contest, I recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

Here are my FanDuel Player Selections for Sunday Night Football!

MVP-Raheem Mostert $14,000

In my opinion, if the 49ers hope to win Sunday night’s game they will need to run the football effectively. Raheem Mostert has been an asset to the San Francisco 49ers when given the opportunity to run the football this season. How good has Raheem been when given the opportunity? Well, the man is averaging seven yards a carry! That is very good my friends.

Why hasn’t Mostert been given more opportunities? The underlining problem for the 49ers running game has been game scripts. The team has found themselves behind in most of the games they have played this season which has resulted in the team being forced to throw the football far too often. An example of that issue can clearly be seen in last week’s lopsided loss to the Miami Dolphins.

I think the San Francisco coaching staff focuses on running the football early and often this week. Let us not forget that the 49ers have a banged up starting quarterback that needs to be protected. I expect that Mostert will be the beneficiary of a run heavy offensive on Sunday.

George Kittle $13,500

Kittle has a history of success versus this week’s NFC West opponent. An example of that success can clearly be seen last year. In two games versus the Rams in 2019, Kittle accumulated 13 receptions, 182 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown. I fully expect Kittle to continue to produce outstanding numbers against this Rams defense on Sunday night.

Cooper Kupp $12,500

The 27 year old has been a vital part of the Rams offense this season. Through five games played, Kupp has been targeted by Rams quarterback Jared Goff a whopping 36 times! Kupp has turned those 36 targets into 28 receptions!

In five games played this season, Kupp is averaging 12.4 FanDuel points a game. It should also be noted that the 49ers opponent in week five, the Miami Dolphins, burned the San Francisco cornerbacks multiple times en route to a blow out win.

Darrell Henderson Jr. $12,000

The Rams running back has amassed at least 18.5 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. I like the way that the Los Angeles Rams coaching staff is making a concentrated effort to get the ball to Henderson Jr. though the air and running the ball.

Kendrick Bourne $7,500

For my last flex play, I am going to take a chance on 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne. Through five games played this season, Bourne has been targeted by the San Francisco quarterback at least four times in every game. Last week, Bourne caught two passes on four targets. He also had a receiving touchdown versus the Dolphins in week 5. I think Bourne presents outstanding fantasy value at the low FanDuel price of $7,500.
