Russell Wilson not only thinks Antonio Brown can help the Seattle Seahawks, but he believes the team can help the player.

The Seattle Seahawks are one of three undefeated teams remaining in the NFL, but are the lone lossless team in the NFC. While their defense hasn’t put up the best statistical numbers, their dynamic offense, led by quarterback Russell Wilson, has carried them to thrilling victories. Sensing that they’re the overwhelming favorites to reach the Super Bowl, the team is considering putting their offense over the edge by adding wide receiver Antonio Brown.

While Brown would definitely help the Seahawks in their pursuit of a deep playoff run, Wilson believes that the team can help him out as well.

“Most of the conversations I’ve had with most his former teammates and stuff like that said that he worked hard every day,” Wilson said, via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk. “I think that with our culture and how our culture is, with (head) coach (Pete) Carroll, with the teammates that we have, the men that we have and the growth, I think, if he does play football, I think this is a great place. If he does play again, I think this is a place that he’ll grow a lot as a man as well.”

Seahawks reportedly making a push for AB

Earlier this week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Seahawks were one of the teams expected to make a push for Brown’s services. However, Schefter indicates that Seattle isn’t the only team looking to sign him.

Brown was suspended for the first eight games of the 2020 season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. That stems from numerous sexual assault allegations and pleading guilty to a felony battery charge this past calendar year.

Despite all of that, Brown was determined to play football this season. In fact, Brown was spotted working out with Wilson this offseason, which led to rumors about him joining the Seahawks. However, Wilson said in his interview with Pro Football Talk that he has no idea if Seattle is going to go all-in for “AB,” but he did say that he hopes to see him play football again.

In his last full season (2018), Brown recorded 104 receptions for 1,297 yards 15 touchdowns. Brown was limited to one game last year, after he bolted from the now-Las Vegas Raiders to the New England Patriots, where he tallied four catches for 56 yards and a touchdown.

While Wilson feels Seattle could do wonders for Brown, it’s unknown if the team could cross the finish line and get the receiver to cross his T’s and dot his I’s on the contract.
