Sean Payton has made it clear on Twitter that he’s not happy whatsoever with the latest Michael Thomas trade rumors that have made the rounds.

For the past couple of weeks, rumors continue to fly regarding the status of Michael Thomas with the New Orleans Saints. While he’s been out since Week 1 with an ankle injury, a fight in practice earlier this month also caused for plenty of drama to arrive for the team.

With him also dealing with a hamstring injury and missing Week 7, word around the NFL world is that the Saints could actually be looking to trade the All-Pro receiver. Seriously? When Thomas is healthy, he’s one of the best receivers in the game, period.

Saints head coach Sean Payton has seen these rumors and reports hit the internet, and he was quick to shoot them down on Twitter with a classic post.

There’s no chance the New Orleans Saints will trade Michael Thomas this season

Pro Football Talk has been among the outlets reporting the Thomas’ trade speculation, which Payton surely noticed. That’s why when Pro Football Talk tried playing down the previous reports, Payton had no choice but to troll them with a quick and simple tweet. It’s a pretty hilarious post too.

For the Saints, they’re very much in a prime position to compete for a Super Bowl title this season, but they’ll undoubtedly need Thomas at full health in order for them to make some serious noise in the postseason. As things stand, New Orleans is in second place of the NFC South standings, right behind the 5-2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With Drew Brees still slinging the ball around with ease, he’s ready for one more chance to win a Lombardi Trophy before he retires. He’ll need Thomas catching balls from him to make that happen. Everyone, including Payton, knows that.
