Colin Cowherd totally whiffed on his AFC North predictions.

When you’re in the business of giving out opinions for three hours a day, as Colin Cowherd is, the laws of probability mean that you’re going to get a handful wrong. However, Cowherd’s vision for the 2020 AFC North, which featured a 16-0 Baltimore Ravens team and a Pittsburgh Steelers squad that will finish the season below .500, is looking worse with each passing week.

Not only is Cowherd’s claim of an undefeated Ravens team looking worse with each passing week, but predicting that the Steelers would finish 7-9 is downright comical in hindsight given Mike Tomlin’s 10-0 start.

Not only are the Steelers first in the AFC North, but they look like the best team in football

While he did nail the Bengals’ pick, they were starting to come together with Joe Burrow under center, and their last-place finish has been officially cemented now that his frightening knee injury has ended his rookie season.

The Ravens’ offense looked unstoppable last season, but offensive coordinator Greg Roman’s inability to open up the passing playbook for Lamar Jackson has the Baltimore offense sputtering. At 6-4, this is far from a team positioned to be among the greatest in NFL history.

While Cowherd’s criticisms of the Steelers, namely the aging Roethlisberger at quarterback, were certainly valid, Pittsburgh has proved several times over that this is as deep a team from top to bottom as there is in the league. Cleveland winning their seventh game of the year in Week 11 is another punch in the gut for Cowherd, as Kevin Stefanski’s expert coaching and Baker Mayfield’s solid game managing has the Browns primed for the playoffs.

Hindsight is always 2020, but these division predictions certainly aren’t going to be among Cowherd’s best barring a monumental collapse or two.
