Chase Young has the Thanksgiving food take to end all food takes

Chase Young doesn’t like a critical element of Thanksgiving dinner.

Thanksgiving is a day of family and friends gathering to bless the food. However, sometimes the food that’s brought to the dinner is one few truly enjoy.

Some hate the taste of green beans while others choose to say away from mashed potatoes. Even though people call them yams, it’s sweet potatoes that few people enjoy without marshmallows. And who could forget about the stuffing? Seriously, where does anyone find the time to enjoy that putrid dish.

No matter what though, everyone is thankful for the turkey found in the middle of their table right? Well, not so much if you’re rookie Chase Young.

The Washington Football Team defensive end recently told reporters that while most food is enjoyed on the special day, he elects to fill up on sides rather than the big bird folks salivate over.

Young’s best game of the season came last Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Taking down No.1 overall pick Joe Burrow, the former Ohio State star met his former teammate at the goal line, causing a fumble that was picked up by Ronald Darby and set up for a touchback.

Young also was extremely emotional watching Burrow being carted off during the third quarter with an injury which would eventually be ruled as a torn ACL and MCL. When being lifted in the cart, former Buckeyes Dwayne Haskins and Terry McLaurin joined Young in wishing him all the best and a speedy recovery.

Most of the NFL world is likely sleeping on Young due to the team he plays for. On Thursday, he’ll get the chance to wreak havoc against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving afternoon. Statically, Dallas better on the holidays against Washington, going 8-1 on in the series and holding a 3-0 Thanksgiving contests between the two.

Good thing for Young that the game will be televised on FOX instead of NBC. If so, he’d be forced to gobble down a Turkey leg during the postgame interview with a victory.
