The Rams and Cardinals are among the NFL teams on upset alert in Week 14.

Somehow, there are only four weeks left in the regular season, which feels like quite an accomplishment given the number of coronavirus cases the NFL has had to deal with lately. This kind of crazy environment can make it harder for teams to focus and lead to some serious upset potential.

Tennessee, who we warned in this space last week, fell victim to the upset when they fell to the Browns at home despite being favored by six points. Which teams should be on upset alert in Week 14? Read on to find out, with all odds referenced in this story coming courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Falcons need to be on upset alert in Los Angeles

Sometimes a team loses so badly that it just has to be made the underdog the following week. That was certainly the case for the Los Angeles Chargers, who got shut out at home in a 45-0 debacle by the New England Patriots that had reporters asking Anthony Lynn if he would be the coach on Monday.

The beneficiary of this spread is the Atlanta Falcons, who are 2.5-point favorites as they fly across the country for this game. The Falcons are coming off a tight loss to the Saints, but their defense hasn’t been stellar all year, which could be problematic against the Chargers.

Justin Herbert should bounce back nicely against the Falcons, who really shouldn’t be trusted as a road favorite to begin with. The path is certainly there for Atlanta to come out flat and lose, meaning interim head coach Raheem Morris needs to ensure that his team is on upset alert this week.
