Rob Gronkowski might need to lawyer up after being named in a class-action suit.

Rob Gronkowski, Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end and “Shark Tank” guest, expanded his portfolio by supporting “Snow”, a teeth-whitening light that has also earned the backing of legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather. While the pricy kit, which can run up to $200, looks like it’s worth the money, especially considered how it is claimed to be able to kill viruses in the mouth, one Long Island man is essentially calling Gronk and Floyd snake oil salesmen.

The New York Post reports that Burton Kraus is suing Snow for $5 million, claiming that the company “unjustifiably charges over a hundred dollars more than arguable comparable products” based on “false claims that the lights they sell to consumers will dramatically improve the whitening power.

Rob Gronkowski’s teeth-whitening product might not be all it’s cracked up to be

One of the more damning allegations Kraus makes against the defendants in the suit was the company falsely suggesting that their antiviral capabilities could protect customers against the COVID-19 virus.

The company has reportedly boasted about accolades that their product has won with no evidence to back those claims up. Snow claimed it won Allure’s “Best of Beauty Award 2019” while the awards themselves make no mention of the company, claimed that it is the “No. 1 most popular teeth whitening product in the world” despite Crest and Colgate being much bigger, and repeatedly asserting that the product is FDA approved when FDA approval isn’t required for this type of product.

The lying has been so brazen that Kraus alleges that they’ve made mention of their customers in over 200 countries around the world. There are only 195 countries in the world.

Gronkowski’s Ice Shaker bottle has proven to be an overnight success, but that doesn’t mean that the future Hall of Famer is infallible in the business world. The best course of action for Gronk and Mayweather might be distancing themselves from this questionable business altogether.
