DraftKings EuroLeague basketball picks December 18

We finish off our big week of DraftKings EuroLeague tournament with a six game slate, our largest of the season to date. We tip off at Noon Eastern with CSKA hosting St. Petersburg. An hour later Red Star tips at home against Valencia. A half hour after that we have Baskonia tipping in Munich.

2pm Eastern brings us Real Madrid heading to Piraeus. At 2:45 we have Khimki tipping against Villeurbanne. The last game of the afternoon has Tel Aviv heading up to Barcelona. This is going to be a good one! First we have to see who is missing the festivities.

Out: Georgios Printezis (back), William Howard (pelvis), Vanja Marinkovic (shoulder), Victor Claver (foot), Joan Sastre (knee).

Questionable: Vladimir Lucic (undisclosed), Greg Monroe (undisclosed), Kostas Papanikolaou (neck), Emmanuel Terry (undisclosed), Daniel Hackett (non-COVID illness), Charles Kahudi (undisclosed), Langston Hall (groin), Joel Bolomboy (undisclosed), Egor Vialtsev (undisclosed), Leandro Bolmaro (undisclosed).

Considering that Lucic has missed two rounds now with whatever is ailing him, I had my doubts as to whether he will play two days after being ruled out, but I guess we never know. The same is true for Monroe, who was a late scratch on Wednesday with no reason given.

I got back on the minimum cash side of things yesterday. The Berlin stack wasn’t as great as I had hoped for, but the Athens front was.

Often in the EuroLeague season we see about ten players playing half the game. The upside on everyone is capped except for the few elites out there.

For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value. Keep that in mind when mining for value picks.
