Kyrie Irving burns sage ahead of Nets vs. Celtics game (Video)

Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving had some Boston Celtics demons to exorcise Friday.

Kyrie Irving burned some sage ahead of the Brooklyn Nets‘ road game vs. the Boston Celtics.

I mean, why wouldn’t he? The Flat Earth Truther clearly believes there are demons at play in TD Garden existing merely to haunt him. Irving spent two years in Boston after his first six years in the league with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He is now in his second year with the Nets, but had yet to make his triumphant return to Boston in uniform. Him burning the sage has officially set the stage.

While he may not play in the Major Leagues, Irving does play basketball at the highest level. Even if he may not have trouble with the curve like one Pedro Cerrano did back in the day with the Cleveland Indians, he knows that burning sage is the only way to get a demon’s attention. Irving is not a known voodoo practitioner. Then again, what if he brings a boa constrictor to the hardwood?

Irving played 20 games last season for the Nets, but this will be his first game back in the TD Garden. The interesting part is Brooklyn and Boston are both playoff locks in the same Atlantic Division. If bad blood is not your cup of tea, then you are not ready for the inherent levels of pettiness, anguish and wrath that are about to be bestowed by Irving towards Boston in 2021.

Why burn a bridge that is already burnt to a crisp when you can burn some spooky sage instead?
