The YouTube Originals series 30 Days With follows boxer Ryan Garcia as he prepares for his Jan. 2 bout with Luke Campbell.

Lightweight boxer Ryan Garcia has all the makings of a sports superstar. He’s popular, young, and good looking, but does he have the talent to become a champion?

That’s the primary question asked throughout the YouTube Originals documentary series 30 Days With: Ryan Garcia.

At just 22 years old, Garcia (20-0, 17 KOs) is a top-rated boxer in the lightweight division. Garcia turned professional at 17 after an impressive amateur career that saw him win numerous national titles. He signed with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions after winning his first six professional contests.

Garcia has notable wins over Francisco Fonseca and Romero Duno, but does he have what it takes to hang with the division’s best like Gervonta Davis, Devin Haney, and Teofimo Lopez? The only way to find for sure is in the ring, but Garcia tries to convince the public of his legitimacy in 30 Days With: Ryan Garcia.

The YouTube 30 Days With series follows celebrities from all walks of life for a behind the scenes experience. It’s available exclusively on YouTube. 30 Days With: Ryan Garcia will feature four episodes on Garcia as he prepares for his Saturday, Jan. 2 bout with British boxer and Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell for the interim WBC lightweight title.

30 Days With: Ryan Garcia gives an insightful look at Garcia’s boxing history and pre-fight preparation

Episodes one and two of the series are available on YouTube and reveal a lot about Garcia, his mindset, and his boxing history. Garcia has established himself as a social media star, which has increased his popularity and criticism. Some wonder if he’s too engrossed in social media and not focused enough on boxing.

Garcia addresses this question and tries to put it to rest in the first two episodes of the documentary series. We see him running five miles on the beach and training in the gym. His family is featured prominently as they offer testimonials regarding his love for boxing.

Garcia started boxing at the age of seven. His family struggled economically during the recession in Victorville, California. Boxing was Garcia’s love and salvation. The voices of his father Henry and mother Lisa, recount those troubling times.

All roads lead to Garcia’s Jan. 2 bout against Campbell at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. The YouTube series tries to frame this fight as Garcia’s quest to defy the odds even though he’s favored to win by most major oddsmakers, according to Oddsshark.com.

In the series so far, Garcia shows a genuine focus on his fight with Garcia. He’s taking things personally and doesn’t seem content with just beating Campbell on points. Garcia hasn’t mentioned rivals Davis or Haney’s names, but his demeanor and actions demonstrate that he hopes to one-up them with his performance against Campbell.

Two more episodes remain of 30 Days With: Ryan Garcia. Watch as Garcia nears the biggest fight of his career.
