The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have something to play for.

Week 16 has come and with it, teams are looking to join the postseason picture. The NFC playoff run is easier than the likes of the AFC, so the Tampa Bay Buccaneers likely will return to the postseason for the first time in nearly a decade.

With the come from being victory against the Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay secured their first winning season since 2017 and second since the 2010s. Tom Brady bounced back in the second half, throwing for over 250 yards and two scores. Meanwhile, Antonio Brown showed why he was a free angel gem with his vertical touchdown, his first since Week 1 of 2019.

Can the team continue their success against the Detroit Lions?

At 5-8 the losers of the NFC North will be in line to draft high again. All that said, should the team consider drafting another quarterback? Matthew Stafford has the leading man for over a decade, but how sure are they for the 32-year-old being the option long-term.

Stafford’s asking price would be high in 2021 since he has two years remaining on his lucrative deal. With free agency around the corner, the team could be losing multiple options in the receiving game. Outside of a decent rushing attack from D’Andre Swift and Kerryon Johnson, there’s little to like next year.

Add in a defensive mess and things are getting out of hand.
