Trae Young called out Grayson Allen on Twitter for allegedly tripping him during Saturday’s Atlanta Hawks-Memphis Grizzlies game.

During the NBA preseason, Atlanta Hawks star point guard Trae Young got acquainted with Memphis Grizzlies guard Grayson Allen. And by acquainted, we mean that Young shoved Allen and created a brief scuffle between both teams.

The two teams would meet again less than a week later, as the Hawks defeated the Grizzlies 122-112 victory on Saturday. Less than 24 hours later, Young would call out Allen on Twitter for allegedly tripping him, while providing a GIF for evidence. Allen would reply in a sarcastic manner, hinting that he didn’t appreciate getting called out like that.

Young and Allen do not like each other

Folks, we have a rivalry on our hands, and Allen received some support from his Grizzlies teammates.

Swingman Jaren Jackson Jr. replied to Young’s tweet with a cap emoji, implying that the Hawks star is lying. Grizzlies guard and 2020 Rookie of the Year Ja Morant would reply to Jackson’s tweet with a plethora of laughing emojis.

As mentioned earlier, the two got into a little scuffle back on Dec. 19 after Allen tried to drive past Young for the basket. In the process, Young shoved Allen out of bounds, causing both squads to convene.

Allen has a bit of history getting under the oppositions skin during his collegiate playing days at Duke. From tripping incidents to flagrant fouls, Allen never shied away from controversial situations on the court. He knows his role is to be that of a pest, and based off how Young is reacting to his play, he accomplished his mission.

For those wondering, the Hawks and Grizzlies face off one more time this season, but that date is still to be determined, as the NBA will announce their second-half schedule in the near future.
