Magic Johnson’s tweet after the Packers win wasn’t of the human mind.

I’m sorry, what? Yes, Magic’s Twitter is notorious for stating the obvious, but he went to a whole other plane on Sunday night after the Packers took another step towards clinching homefield throughout the NFC postseason.

While any true NFL fan would’ve enjoyed watching Aaron Rodgers sling it at a snowy Lambeau Field in late December, Magic let us know, as if he were stating an original thought, that he can’t wait to watch more Packers football.

Magic Johnson, closet Packers fan? Cool. Look, I’m not here to knock Magic for tweeting his thoughts on a live sporting event. It’s why Twitter was invented, in part — for us to react to things. But come on, why does it sound like it came from the Packers PR staff?

Magic hasn’t tweeted a controversial thought in his life

The joke surrounding Magic’s account is that he always states the obvious. Whoever wins the Super Bowl — and I can assure you this will happen — Magic will congratulate them in cordial fashion.

It’s all in good fun, as Johnson is ever-present in public life, commenting on the NBA and most major sports in general. He doesn’t add much to the conversation, merely repeating the public consensus. If the Chiefs win it all, Magic will let us know Patrick Mahomes is a great quarterback. If the Packers ride a wave of momentum to the Super Bowl title, Magic will comment on Aaron Rodgers’ greatness. His tweets are prewritten.

Next. Magic Johnson is so rich he has someone run his incredibly boring Twitter account. dark
