Friday night fights are not only happening inside the boxing ring on ESPN. Black Friday fights put a whole new meaning to that title and can happen anywhere nowadays.

They happen in the parking lot before even making it into the store. People start fights with others when there’s a shortage of specific holiday deals that they went in for.

Shoppers can just be minding their own business, and out of nowhere get blindsided by a damaging blow, just from being near the madness in the mall. With Thanksgiving happening in a few days, the turkey and stuffing are no longer the only things that people look forward to this holiday season. It’s the craziness over all the Black Friday sales that these giant corporations are hosting globally.

Traditionally, Black Friday was only meant for Friday. Now with all the competition from stores like Walmart, Target and Best Buy, people no longer have to wait until Friday to get their spend on. These huge events are now happening immediately after Thanksgiving dinner.

While these fights are entertaining to watch, there is now a Black Friday death count that tracks data on all injuries and deaths that have occurred and been reported that day. This has been going on since 2006. It’s not always about the fistfights either. People are extra feisty when braving long lines, and tend to get mouthy or into a shouting match at any given moment.

If you’re going out for a new tv or gaming system this Black Friday, be safe and try not to be one of these brawlers who were caught on camera. These fights happen all around the world with shoppers fighting over materialistic items that had a few dollars knocked down on its price tag for a day.
