New Year’s store hours 2021: Is Walmart open?

The New Year’s is unlike any other in modern history. Never before have we collectively all over the world ever been more excited to ring in a new year before. As we say goodbye to an incredibly hard year and welcome what we hope will be the start of a new (better) normal there are still some things we can do to feel like any other day.

Shopping is one of those things.

And Walmart is a perfect place to get your fix. There’s pretty much everything you could ever want … clothes, books, candy, electronics, and much more.

But perhaps you aren’t just wanting to wander the aisles of Walmart with your gift card to kill time. Maybe you need to fill a prescription or pick up a gallon of milk and some eggs. Maybe you drank too much and need some aspirin or some bubble bath to soak your tired feet.

Whatever the reason, Walmart will be open on New Years Day. Hours will vary depending on your local shop, so check with them directly. But there shouldn’t be any alterations to store hours.

Remember there will be COVID-19 protocol to stick to, like wearing a mask, staying six-feet apart and maintain safe numbers within the store.
