Low and behold, the Buffalo Bills have a star in the making with Gabriel Davis.

When looking at the Buffalo Bills’ future, Josh Allen will be the name most fans remember. He’s earned it after a breakout campaign in 2019 and near MVP season in 2020.

The Bills’ go-to wide receiver is Stefon Diggs. Since trading their 2020 first-round pick to the Minnesota Vikings, he’s been nothing short of impressive in Orchard Park. By the season’s end, Diggs led the NFL in receptions (127) and receiving yards (1,535).

That all might be true and credit to Brandon Beane. However, following Saturday’s showdown at Bills’ Stadium, the mafia best remember the name Gabriel Davis moving forward.

Drafted out of UCF, Davis has been the key factor in the AFC Wild Card Round against the Indianapolis Colts. During the first quarter, his 16-yard reception helped set up a touchdown to Dawson Knox behind Allen’s trickery.

But man, the drive to end the first half is proof he’s a star in the making.

Under pressure, Allen connected with Davis with a top-dragging reception that led to a 37-yard gain and kept the drive alive. Two plays later, another toe drag from the rookie gave the Bills excellent field position with a gain of 19.

Allen would later cause an offside on fourth down and later score to give the Bills a 14-10 lead going into halftime.

Davis could be the hero for Bills Mafia

For the first time in 25 years, Bills Mafia has waited to host a playoff game. Now, they’re in a prime position to pick up a victory and move towards the AFC Divisional Round. That’s in large part due to Davis’ route-running.

The fourth-round selection made his mark during the regular season as the No. 4 receiver. In 16 games, he tallied 35 receptions for 599 yards and seven touchdowns.

Not bad for a mid-round pick, huh?

The Bills will be building a duo around Allen and Diggs. Maybe they should make it a trio with the emergence of Davis in western New York.
